IPPP flame retardant is a synthetic isopropylated phenyl phosphate

that is widely used as a flame-retardant plasticizer in polyvinyl chloride and other polymers. In addition to its excellent flame-retardant properties, it also imparts to PVC formulations rapid gelation properties and good resistance to oil extraction, bitumen adhesive staining and microbiological attack. This synthetic phosphate, besides offering more consistent product quality, has the following advantages over conventional tar acid phosphates:

• significantly improved light stability

• less odor

• better resistance to cracking at low temperatures

• lower plastisol properties

 

Typical

R35 is recommended for use in plastisols for fabric coating and other applications where is low, stable viscosity offers improved processing. R35 can give a drier finish to coated fabrics that other standard triaryl phosphate esters. R35 has a high plasticizing efficiency that enable formulators to achieve better flame retardance at lower cost. R35 is also designed for use as a flame retardant in phenolic laminates. The use of proper protective equipment is recommended. Excess exposure to the product should be avoided. Wash thoroughly after handling. Store the product in a cool, dry, wellventilated area away from incompatible materials. Unless stated, proper storage will permit usage of the product for 6 to 12 months from the date of receipt. R50 is recommended as a flame retardant for PVC, flexible polyurethanes, cellulosic resins, and synthetic rubber. R50 is also recommended as a flame retardant processing aid for engineering resins, such as modified PPO, polycarbonate and polycarbonate blends. The use of proper protective equipment is recommended.
